Gillian was born and raised in St. John's. After completing a BSc in Biochemistry at MUN she studied dentistry at Western University where she graduated in 1984. While completing her doctorate she met her husband Jeremy.

 

Upon her return to Newfoundland she started a practice with her father and they practiced together for 21 years. Gillan and Jeremy have two wonderful daughters Allison and Carolyn. Gillian is a proud member of Lady Cove Women's Choir and enjoys cooking, exercising and spending time with her family and two dogs.

Gillian is member of the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy and regularly seeks out new knowledge through continuing education courses.
