Our Response to COVID-19

Since the province has moved into Alert Level 3 we are now re-opened and excited to see our patients again. At Dental Care 101 we have worked very hard to ensure the safety of our valued patients and dedicated staff.

To this end, we have met and exceeded the safety standards of the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Board, the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association and the College of Dental Hygienists.

The most noticeable change that you as a patient will see is the enhanced level of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that we all will be wearing on your arrival to the clinic.  Rest assured that we have all been fit tested for N95 respirators and will be decked out in gowns, face shields and, of course, gloves.

You will be required to answer some screening questions prior to your visit and you can access that form here. There will be additional screening when you arrive and your temperature will be taken with a touch-less device.

We have installed HEPA filers in operatories that will clean the air of aerosols to hospital grade https://youtu.be/PWrl4TgvXMM

You will also see high volume extra-oral suction units to reduce aerosols even at the source  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDg_dda0qeU

As well you will see the installation of new plexiglass shields in the reception area and the waiting room chairs will be at least six feet apart.

We are very excited to welcome you back to a safe, healthy and caring environment.  Behind the masks we are still the same caring and dedicated team that is eager to provide great dental care to our valued patients.
